content versus app

the content is really first class ; there is no question about it
as for the app, I only have the IPad version 1 (with little memory on board -not to be confused with storage space) and the app regularly crashes; as a matter of fact almost each time I open a new article. Once I reopen it (30 sec later) it works OK.
And yet I have tried to get rid of all useless apps. Judging from forums, Im not the only one facing this irritating problem. Im even considering ending the sub.
